World Watercolor Month - Day 20 - Dry Brush Prairie

Welcome to Day 20 of World Watercolor Month, artists! Today we are calling back to our diffused skies and adding a new technique to the mix - dry brushing. Dry brushing is when we use highly pigmented watercolor paint with very little water on our brush to create wispy, rough designs. We aren't building up 3D texture (we cannot do that watercolor on its own!!). We are simply using less water on our brush. We'll paint in our wet-on-wet landscape, allow it to dry, then "dry brush" textured lines to give the illusion of wheat in the wind.
