Welcome to Day 17 of World Watercolor Month, artists! Today, we are introducing a few new techniques for a soft, simple sky. Look up at the clouds and pull inspiration from today's skies. This will be a large wash of color all over your paper, so if you want crisp edges, use washi tape to create a border.
Check out examples & video references below, as well as today's journal questions and mantras.
Mix you perfect sky blue and use a mop brush (or your largest, soft paintbrush) to paint a wash of color across the page. While it is still wet, use a smaller dry brush, sponge, or paper towel to lift the paint to create clouds!
